Natalie Dement, JD

Natalie Dement is Vice President, Head of Legal at Braveheart Bio. She joined with nearly a decade and a half of experience practicing law, half of which has been in-house at early and growth stage biotechnology companies. She began her career as an M&A attorney in the Palo Alto offices of White & Case LLP where she supplemented her M&A practice with venture financing and pharmaceutical licensing. Following White & Case, she continued her M&A practice in-house at Wells Fargo Bank.  

Desiring to combine her corporate law background with her love for biology, she moved to Zymergen Inc., where she managed their IPO in 2021. She has since held senior roles at Mammoth Biosciences Inc. and Human Immunology Biosciences (HI-Bio), Inc. (acquired by Biogen in 2024).  

Natalie received her law degree from Emory University School of Law and her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Stanford University.
